As many of you may know January 5, 2011 was the first day of the 2011 Vermont Legislative Session. Here are some of the updates for VT State Policy: VT’s 81st Governor, Peter Shumlin gives Inaugural Address, watch Shumlin’s here: inaugural address on WXAC.com, read it here at the VT government’s site. Shumlin promises to help the vulnerable Vermonters and make their lives more economically secure. Governor Peter Shumlin spoke briefly at the January 5, Homeless Memorial Vigil on the Statehouse steps. He made a promise of $500,000 to homeless providers! More details to be expected in Shumlins budget address. Shap Smith named Speaker of the House for his second term.
