VAHC is Seeking a New Communications & Outreach Coordinator

The Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition and the Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness is currently seeking applicants for our joint AmeriCorps VISTA position. The VISTA serves VAHC & VCEH jointly, coordinating communications & outreach for both coalitions which focus on affordable housing and ending homelessness. The VISTA gathers & disseminates information to coalition members & the general public; helps convene monthly membership meetings; manages electronic, social, & print media (websites & newsletters); attends coalition meetings & relevant working groups; provides outreach to member organizations, media, & the community at large; provides support to the coalitions’ Steering Committees; researches & writes grants to enhance organizational sustainability; organizes special events such as the Point in Time count; coordinates activities that increase awareness of housing & homeless needs (e.g., presentations to community groups); promotes best practices by planning conferences & trainings; interfaces with regional & national partners at conferences & workshops; and meets requirements of the Vermont Youth Tomorrow program.
