As in years past, there will be NO VAHC meeting Wednesday, August 8. We usually skip August because too many folks are away on vacation.
The next meeting will be the Annual VAHC Meeting and joint annual meeting with the Vermont Coalition to End Homelessness (VCEH) in September. This being an election year, we are again inviting the Republican and Democratic gubernatorial nominees to meet with us to talk about their agendas for affordable housing and ending homelessness. We are also inviting legislative leaders to discuss their priorities for next year. The joint meeting will conclude with a profile of an inspiring success story from two coalition members: our colleagues at GroundWorks Collaborative and Windham & Windsor Housing Trust will highlight their exciting new partnership at Great River Terrace in Brattleboro.
Please hold September 12th and 18th on your calendar! The meeting date will depend on the schedules of the candidates that emerge from next week’s primary. That said, we are shooting for either Wednesday, September 12 or Tuesday, September 18, the usual meeting days of the VAHC and VCEH respectively. The joint meeting will run from 9:30 – 12, followed by our usual networking lunch and the Annual Meeting of the VAHC and monthly meeting of the VCEH, both starting at 1pm. Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Randolph is reserved for both dates.
