The Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition is seeking two new AmeriCorps VISTA members for the 2013-14 year! A*VISTA Communications & Outreach Coordinator This position will serve the VAHC & VCEH jointly. The VISTA Member will disseminate information to each coalition’s members and the general public, help convene monthly membership meetings, manage electronic, social and print media, provide outreach to member organizations and community, provide support to the Steering Committee, research and write grants, assist with conference and training planning, coordinate activities that increase awareness of housing and homeless needs, and meet requirements of the VYT program. In response to a growing need for resident engagement and organizing in affordable housing properties, VAHC is working to organize and build leadership among residents living in subsidized housing. The goal of this position is to help organize & support resident associations.
