“POWNAL — The Barber’s Pond Mobile Home Park is up for sale. As per state law, the residents of the park have 45 days from the date of a notice sent to them to express interest in buying the park themselves or having a non-profit organization buy it for them, said Arthur Hamlin of the Vermont Department of Housing and Community Affairs (DHCA). According to the notice sent to the park’s residents and local non-profits, they have until May 6 to let the DHCA know if they are interested. The asking price is $230,000. The listed owners are the estates of Herbert Lewis and Paul Garabedian. Documents in Bennington Probate Court indicate that Barbara McLeod and Aldo F. Fassio are co-executors of the Lewis estate, while Paul Garabedian Jr. is executor of the Garabedian estate… …Hamlin said a majority of the park’s residents must wish to buy it before they can given preference. According to the notice the park has 24 lots, eight being occupied. He said the property will be independently appraised and the sale price can’t be higher than that. “We are making ourselves available to the residents if they want to make a run at it,” said John Broderick, director of the Regional Affordable Housing Corporation (RAHC)….” Full Story: Pownal mobile home park for sale PDF of Story: Pownal mobile home park for sale
