Responsible for handling front desk reception and administrative duties which includes greeting clients, providing intake and referral opportunities, answering a multi-line telephone system, and sorting and distributing mail in a fast-paced community agency setting. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage a multi-line telephone • Provide information, referrals, and support to a variety of clients with particular emphasis on basic screening abilities and confidentiality • Become a first point of contact for all clients and visitors to the Drop-In Center • Support the flow of clients into the community food shelf • Basic daily cleaning • Management of mail delivery system • Take and relay messages • Database entry MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Prior customer service experience required, with a preference to those who have worked with vulnerable or at-risk populations • Basic computer skills • Ability to multi-task with high attention to details • Exceptional communication skills
