CHT hosts free advocacy workshop

Reposted from the Champlain Housing Trust, February 6, 2013. The Champlain Housing Trust is hosting a free advocacy workshop for anyone interested in learning how to influence how laws are developed. The workshop will cover items such as:

  1. Fundamentals of advocacy

  2. How to make your case

  3. How to arrange meetings with your legislator

  4. Do’s and Don’ts

When: Tuesday, February 12, 2013. 6:00pm – 7:30pm Where: CHT’s office, 88 King Street, Burlington The event is open to the public, and though focused on housing issues in particular, will provide training that is transferable to other public policy debates as well. Rep. Jill Krowinski (D-Burlington), will attend to provide a legislator’s perspective and advice on effective advocacy.
