Cab Driver, Saved by COTS, Shares Tale

From Burlington Free Press: “Adam Walker thought he had it all figured out with a steady job and savings. But without health insurance his hospital bills and a debilitating injury left him facing future homelessness. For his kids’ sake, Walker swallowed his pride and asked for help. ‘My only other decision was to throw my hands up and walk away from my kids which was the biggest decision in all of this; it was the underlying factor. I never anticipated how bad that was going to affect me. How bad I didn’t want to go,’ Walker said as his voice broke. The former chef brushed away his tears and continued driving his Green Cab up Main Street in Burlington. ‘So COTS,” he said, “I’m as grateful as anyone can be.'” Read the rest of Adam’s story here.
