Source: The Manchester Journal, March 16, 2011 “MANCHESTER – A group of community members committed to promoting energy-efficient, sustainable approaches to building design, construction and building renovation came together in September, 2010. Since then, the group has grown and met regularly to increase public awareness of energy efficiency and help create a sustainable community. The Committee1s mission is to: ‘promote a sustainable community through education, information, and demonstration. They are committed to the use of environmentally responsible practices and products. Moving forward, the group will gather and disseminate information about products and services available in our region, build a mentor resource base that community members can call on for assistance, develop a series of educational programs and support the efforts of Habitat for Humanity.
